Roel Elsman founded his company KNOX Facebook Marketing in 2015. Roel was already very active on Facebook professionally and his fascination with this social media channel led to him focusing entirely on Facebook by creating his own company. Roel: “We believe in super specialisation. Only then can you make a real difference for your clients compared to colleague-companies.” This super specialisation was noticed by Facebook Europe. As one of the first agencies in the Netherlands, KNOX now carries the title Facebook Certified Planning Professional.

Diversity of customers and activities In the meantime, over 100 companies have found their way to KNOX. The clientele is very diverse. KNOX performs personnel marketing for large and smaller engineering firms and SMEs. The amount of responses to job vacancies is smaller, but their quality is much higher because of the extensive segmentation.

Another target audience is e-commerce. With Facebook’s tool called Dynamic Ads, products that were put in the shopping bag but were not purchased, can pop up in visitors’ timelines. The result is conversions of 3 to sometimes even 10%. That is how sales that were initially missed out on are still being realised. KNOX carries this out for diverse large Dutch parties, such as Parfumerie.nl, Sportdirect.com and Paul Warmer.

For an Australian web shop platform with branches in the Netherlands, KNOX developed a platform for Dynamic Ads under white label. This company has 10,000 customers worldwide, and by now, the platform, developed by KNOX, has been launched for its first Dutch customers.

3-step strategy With the help of Facebook’s newest tool, the custom diversion, KNOX has developed a 3-step strategy. With this strategy, KNOX fills the entire sales funnel, from awareness to consideration and then conversion. All on the basis of valuable data of customers and/or visitors of the website.

KNOX has also created a number of themed pages on Facebook. The Sauna page, for example, has nearly 50,000 enthusiastic followers. On the basis of affiliate marketing, KNOX sells arrangements to diverse sauna complexes through this channel. In the field of running, baby and children necessities and seniors citizens, KNOX has created a themed page.

Increasingly more international Many of KNOX’s customers work at international level. After achieving success on the Dutch market, KNOX is more often being asked to do the same in other countries. Roel therefore expects that KNOX will also expand abroad.
