Diverse cast work and ironwork This concerns cast work and ironwork in all iron and nickel alloys, including stainless steel, Duplex, nodular foundry work, all steel alloys and wear resistant white cast iron for the dredging industry, for example. Preferred supplier

Aart delivers most of his work to the dredging and off shore industry. “My roots lie in Sliedrecht and that is the dredging capital of the world. I have a large network there. It takes a while before companies want to start working with you, but when they have been convinced and you deliver fine work, you will be in a good place for a long time.” Aart thinks “out of the box” and is therefore always very innovative and creative when finding solutions for technical challenges of his customers. He has helped his customers multiple times to develop new casting moulds. His solutions often offer weight and costs reductions with much added value for his customers.

He is proud of the fact that shipyard IHC named Castart the preffered supplier for the delivery of cable pulleys for the dredging ships that they are to be built. So Castart is delivering the cable pulleys for the largest Cuttersuction dredger to come.

Castart is also very satisfied about the collaboration with foundries in Portugal. They deliver quality for an attractive price and they are nice to work with. Because of the growing number of orders, Castart takes care of indirect employment opportunities for around 100 people.

Quality Label

Aart has noticed the trend that many companies choose the quality label Made in Europe more consciously. With the help of low wages in Portugal and lower transport costs, more customers opt for the products by Castart. The off shore and dredging industry is also growing.
